Hi everyone, this is Wilhelm. I’m not a factory owner nor a businessman. I don’t work for any vendors, nor do I make a living on this. I’m just a reenactor and collector who has a full-time job and makes something he’s interested in when he gets off work.
Like many young reenactors nowadays, I got interested in reenactment at an early age. I started building my first kit when I was 5th grade in elementary school. Over the years, I became increasingly disappointed of two facts. First is that certain gears just never got replicated correctly. The second is even you could have it made correctly, it usually come with a relative high cost and endless wait.
So, this is what drives me to start making high-quality reproductions myself. I want them to have great historical-authenticity and I want them to be made in a timely fashion. I don’t want to order this thing half year before the event telling the seller I will really need them for the event but still don’t have them made yet 10 months after the event.
At Wilhelm Militaria, I’m providing all my products at a reasonable and affordable price. And I will keep track of every single order. If you have a tight schedule, which I can’t guarantee you could have what you ordered by the deadline, I will not take your order. I’m a reenactor myself, I personally don’t like people giving false promises. So I won’t do it when I’m selling to fellow reenactors.
To me, making high-quality reproductions is not about making money, as you can see in the price listed. I lived in the US for 10 years, and I had a great time. The units I joined had always been very nice to me. Therefore, this is my way of giving back to the community.
